The test evaluates the degree of activation of 8 salivary interleukins at the basis of inflammatory processes. In detail, the following are investigated:
- INTERLEUKIN TNF ALPHA (TNF) for assessing the level of systemic inflammation
- INTERLEUKIN 17 (IL-17) for the evaluation of the immune response to attacks by endogenous agents
- INTERLEUKIN 1 BETA (IL-1β) for the detection of the local and general immune response
- INTERLEUKIN 2 (IL -2) to evaluate the activation of an inflammatory immune response
- INTERLEUKIN 6 (IL -6) to investigate the functioning of the regulatory system of the immune system
- INTERLEUKIN 10 (IL-10) for the evaluation of the inhibitory activity of inflammatory factors
- INTERLEUKIN 12 (IL-12) for the detection of the innate immune response
- INTERFERON GAMMA (IFN-γ) for the evaluation of the immune activation of macrophages
The concentration detected by the analysis makes it possible to provide indications for modulated and personalized treatments.
The test is performed in PCR, a technique that integrates the specificity of the antigen-antibody binding, typical of the ELISA method, with the precision of molecular biology. This method amplifies the precision in the quantification of interleukins by more than 100 times.
